(If you think I am listening to Ever Since New York as I write this post, you are absolutely correct.)
Ever since I arrived in New York City, I have added around twelve billion things to my “Summer 2017 To-Do List”, and I’m not mad about it one bit. Almost everyone comes to NYC with a long list of places to see and things to do. That list becomes infinitely longer when you spend an extended amount of time here. One minute you’re adding Rockefeller Center to your “done” list, and the next you’re adding the bakery you passed on your way to the Rock to your "to-do" list. As soon as one thing gets crossed off, ten more are added.
Within the first week of being in the city, I was able to see everything from Rockefeller Center, to a musical on Broadway. (School of Rock – go see it. Amazing.) We ate at outstanding restaurants, but then of course walked it all off the next day. New York is a city with so much excitement that it makes you want to be busy at all points during the day.
One of my favorite places in the city is The Plaza. We stumbled upon the food hall one afternoon, and stopped in to grab a coffee and a snack. This food hall was unlike any I have ever seen. There were so many options within one space that I almost wanted someone to choose for me. Not to mention, it is one of the prettiest little places in NYC.
As far as general areas go, SoHo is probably my favorite. The architecture there is adorable, and the shopping isn’t so bad either. There are sample sales in SoHo sometimes as well, and these are quite an experience. Lines wrap around buildings, but when you can get 80% off a luxury bag, the line doesn’t seem so bad. It can get a little crowded in SoHo sometimes, so prepare yourself for even more people than usual. The atmosphere is completely worth it.
These are just a few blurbs about my experience in the city so far, and I know I have SO many more things to see and experience. If you have any recommendations leave them in the comment section below, and as always thanks for reading!! xx
