A Festive Night At The Shops

Around the holiday season, there are so many activities to get you in the holiday spirit. A couple weekends ago, I was in Atlanta and attended the Christmas kickoff at The Shops of Buckhead. There were tons of treats and events happening, but we went especially to see the Atlanta Ballet perform.

It surprisngly was not as cold as I thought it was going to be, but that did not stop me from bringing out my new (old) coat. Fun fact - I found this coat a few days before in a random coat closet at home. It was my mom’s when I was little, but i’ve adopted it now. It really reminds me of the Saint Laurent Trapper Coat, so that doesn’t hurt either!

Brooklyn Babe

I’ll be the first to admit that I hate looking like a tourist even when I am one. I love to pretend I am a local and just make it up as I go along. You will never see me pull out a map, and I try to never look confused or lost. Don’t ask me why I do this - I have no idea either! It is a weird habit I picked up, but I stand by it to this day.

I did, however, let myself become a tourist in New York. Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is a magical experience. While it is very touristy, it is an attraction you cannot miss.

I would highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes, because while it is not a difficult walk, it can seem pretty long if your feet are hurting. I know it is tempting to wear something super stylish and cute since we all know a million photos will be taken, but wear something that you can move around in. I decided to wear a pair of acid wash jeans and a soft short sleeve tee. I paired this look with my velvet booties to give it a bit of flair.

Feeling Like Fall

I. Love. Fall. Especially fall fashion. I love being able to throw on a cute jacket without walking outside and immediately breaking into a sweat.

During fall I am always wearing booties. It can be hard to find the perfect pair of jeans to wear with booties but this pair from Lucky Brand hits right at the perfect spot on my ankles.

Speaking of booties, I love wearing these black booties nonstop. The height is great for walking around all day or dressing up for dinner.

This denim jacket is so easy to throw on with any outfit. I found it in New York at a market, and I wore it nonstop after.
