Summertime in Los Angeles can be a tricky thing when it comes to style. It's blazing during the day but a bit chilly at night. If you are planning on being out all day and into part of the night like I was, it can be confusing when it comes to the grand decision of picking out an outfit. The look I went with today combined cool weather along with hot weather.
I am wearing a Zara dress with a twist. In the original design, the v cut was supposed to be in the back, but that's no fun if I'm wearing a jacket all day! So, I turned around the dress, and it surprisingly looked a lot cuter than it did with the v in the back. Yay!
My denim jacket is from the Subdued in Catania, Sicily, and I think I probably wear it too much. It goes with so many different outfits, and we just can't seem to part from one another. This makes the look easy to wear when the temperature starts cooling off, but you don't want to change before that casual summer dinner party on the patio.
Now we have the shoes...the SHOES. Wow. These shoes are from a department store in Switzerland, and they traveled all over Western Europe with me in the months of January - April. (As you can tell from the scuffs on the toe.) These shoes are also a staple in my wardrobe. I added in the socks to bring in a neutral color and tie in the blues in the dress and the jacket. It also adds a little bit of warmth for the night time.
Finally, the sunnies. Probably one of my favorite parts of any outfit. I tend to have a thing for Ray-Ban sunglasses, and these are my newest pair. If you zoom in, you can see the frames are tortoise shell, and they give the classic aviators a little twist.
